Cyanotype Workshop

Sat 18th Apr 26

1pm – 4pm

Trondra Hall

Discover the magic of cyanotype, one of the earliest photographic printing processes, known for its rich Prussian-blue tones and dreamlike, high-contrast images. Developed in 1842, cyanotype uses UV light and simple chemistry to create striking prints from plants, and photographic negatives, combining art & science.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of coating paper, exposing your prints to light, and developing them in water. Experiment with natural materials and found objects to create your own unique botanical or abstract designs. No prior experience is needed all materials provided but you can bring any extras you'd like.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

You can also send up to 4 images in advance to be turned into digital negatives. All images need to be sent to cgsphotos@outlook.com by 12pm on 15/04/26.
